Had a blast with Kim and Bill on their winter wonderland wedding last weekend! Plus it was my birthday! They were so nice to have this HUGE cake at the reception for me!!! (Ok, I think it was meant for them, but I can still wish!) Hope you're having a WARM honeymoon down in the Dominican Republic!
I just got a link posted for the MaryMadelineProject. It's an organization that takes gently used wedding dresses and turns them into tiny burial clothes. They are then given to parents that have lost a child. Volunteers sew the dresses for all who need them. I was touched by this act of kindness and thought it's a wonderful gift. Please take a minute to visit the site and if you have a gown that you'd like to donate, DO!

So, I know that there are lots of people catching on to the ‘trash your dress’ idea, but I haven’t seen anyone do it like this! I’ve had the idea for almost 4 years, but never got the chance to ACTUALLY go out and make it happen. Well last week was the breaking point. We are cleaning the basement and there it was. Then Cali with “A Sound Impression” calls asking for some pics of a trashed dress and I decided, that’s it! I brought it to the studio and found the perfect mud puddle. I was soooo excited. Shane photographed me as I had an absolute blast trashing myself and my $800 dress! Cali came over to video the event as well. Thanks Cali! Her video is below.

It was so much fun that we now will be offering it to all of our brides. I recommend calling a few friends and get them in on the action too!!! One huge mud fight, that would be fun! So grab your dress, and bring it in! (Mud location subject to change! I’d love to go to any location you’d like, the muddier the better!!!!
As of Nov. 1st, MDP/Dwyer Photography of Lincoln is now officially, Shane and Sunny Photography!
Both Shane and I are super excited about the change. It really doesn’t change a whole lot about how our company works, except we now have a little more flexibility, which means more time to spend with our clients.

Little Miss Ava and her family came in to our studio a few weeks ago. The funny thing is that our little Ava is only a few months younger and they are soooo much alike!
